I'm Also Feeling Jazzy

Must check out the Jazz festival at some point, looks like they've got some amazing stuff going on!

Also - if you're a poor student like me, check out the free stuff:

I'm so proud.

I got up at 5:30 this AM, and hit the Kiwanis park in Saskatoon for a Lululemon organized 6:00 AM yoga class to welcome in the summer solstice with sun salutations.

The weather could not have been more perfect. It was a warm 12 degrees (celsius) or so; once we started our vinyasa and got warmed up, sweaters weren't necessary. The river was to our left, the park all around us ... it was the perfect place for meditation and serenity, and the perfect time of day to feel the sun on our faces. I've never done yoga outside before, and it was an experience I'd love to repeat.

What an amazing way to start the day.

A good reminder for me that I must get back into the practice of yoga. I just love it too much not to be doing it all the time. It's too bad, really, that I love my yoga instructor in Calgary so much. She's ruined me for all others ... but I suppose I can search Saskatoon for someone in the meantime. I'm counting down the days until next April, when we move back to Calgary, when I can be in Donna's classes again. Jan, the instructor from the even today, was just great. I'd definitely go to a class with her again, I should look into where she teaches.

Less than a year.

I can make it.

Sigh. I feel all warm and tingly and airy now.

Yoga every morning - it's a goal.

Remember A Year Ago ...

... when a pic of mine was "published"?

Now the i-phone and i-pod touch versions are out:

Mmmmm ... Gramaldi's .... I want some right now. I was so lucky to hit Grimaldi's again when I was in New York in February. Best pizza ever (and best atmosphere ever).

The Power of the Blog

The other day, Jason and I were discussing the power of the blog. How mainstream is blogging, and how important?

Interesting to read this article in the Star Phoenix:

Three Provinces and a Wedding Later

Whew! I'm exhausted. What a trip.

About a week and a half ago I set out for my friend's wedding in Golden, BC. It turned out to be one of the most fun weddings I've ever attended in an unreal location - on top of a mountain. It was misty, and it snowed for the actual wedding, but you can see how amazing this place is in the picture below.

We stayed in the amazing Copper Horse Lodge, the purveyors of which were so friendly and warm and accommodating, it really made the trip. We even saw two bears; a grizzly, and a black bear (in addition to moose, elk, deer, etc).

After Golden, we went back through Calgary, them up to Drayton Valley and Edmonton to connect with family that we haven't been able to see for awhile (and meet our new little nephew Vaughn). It was so great, but so much driving when all was said and done and we we were back in Saskatoon.

Sigh.

Must relax and do laundry and sort out my house today.

Also, groceries. Must buy groceries.
